The places that make me smile

New York New York for me is a winner each and every time. There are so many reasons to fall in love with this city. I have travelled here twice, both times around Christmas and it really is the most magical place and so full of energy. With things to suit everyone be this shopping, sightseeing, museums to theatres you cannot be bored, it truly caters for all. You can take a helicopter ride over Manhattan and see a birds eye view of the city and ground zero. You can head to the top of one of the most iconic sky scrapers in New York, the Empire State Building. At Christmas time a must see is the big Christmas tree outside of the Rockefeller Centre and its best to be seen whilst ice skating under it. New York really is an incredible place to visit and each time you go there is always something new to be seen. There are hotels to suit all styles and budgets and the service you receive is second to none.

New Zealand I have been lucky enough to spend 6 months travelling and working in this amazing picturesque country. New Zealand literally has everything you could wish for and really is the trip of a lifetime. It has summers to die for with temperatures reaching 30+ most days. They have the most magnificent rugged coastline along with stunning farmland and geothermal activity galore. There is so much to do on both islands. The highlights of my trip have to be sky diving over Lake Taupo, swimming with a wild dolphin off the North coast, horse riding along the stunning beach and sand dunes of Paihia and visiting the incredible Hobbiton movie set. Can even tie this in with a visit across to Sydney which is only a 3.5 hour flight!

Mauritius Mauritius in my eyes is the definition of paradise. The island has the most immaculate white beaches and is exactly as it looks in pictures. You can lay in a hammock on the beach, sipping cocktails watching the native Saga dancers or take a yacht out in the blue lagoons to watch the most beautiful sunsets. This is an amazing destination for weddings and honeymoons and really does have the wow factor. Stunning mountain scenery and magnificent waterfalls you can swim right under which really make this a fantastic tropical break. Why not twin centre a trip here with Dubai or the Seychelles to make the trip even more special
