Full itinerary 

Day 1: Arrive in Victoria
Upon arrival into Victoria International Airport, pick up your hire car and drive to your downtown hotel, where you will spend the next two nights. After checking into the hotel, you have the rest of the day at leisure explore the parks, restaurants, and gardens of British Columbia’s capital city. 
Accommodation: Embassy Inn Hotel (or similar)


Day 2: Victoria
Today you embark on a fascinating wildlife viewing adventure on board a fast-moving Zodiac boat.  A certified marine biologist provides insight into the environment and habits of orca, minke, and grey whales, as well as other marine wildlife. Return to your hotel afterwards and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 3: Victoria - Tofino
Check out of your hotel and get ready for the scenic beauty that is about to unfold before you – be sure to have your camera at the ready! Drive across Vancouver Island to the Pacific Coast, winding through ancient rainforests and provincial parks. You’ll venture into true wildlife territory, exemplified by The Pacific Rim National Park – a marvel of ecological and geographical diversity. Upon arrival, check into your Tofino hotel, where you will stay for the next two nights.

Day 4: Tofino
Today you board a Zodiac boat to take a captivating bear watching excursion and speed along the lush coastline to the bears’ feeding grounds. When the tide goes out, the bears emerge from the forests and forage along the shores in search of rock crabs, providing the perfect opportunity to see these incredible creatures in their natural habitat.  You’re also free to explore the rugged coastline along the network of hiking trails, or to walk the shoreline in search of shells and driftwood. Perhaps enrich your experience with a visit to the Himwitsa Art Gallery and marvel at the collection of authentic pieces native to the Tofino area.

Day 5: Tofino – Sonora Resort 
This morning, check out of your hotel and head along the spectacular winding road that takes you back to the eastern coast of Vancouver Island. Upon arrival in Campbell River, board your water taxi for the short boat ride to the stunning Sonora Resort, where you’ll stay for the next two nights on full board basis. Check in to this quintessential west coast resort and prepare for tomorrow’s day of adventure and discovery. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 6: Sonora Resort
After breakfast, you have the entire day at this luxurious wilderness resort, with access to unlimited hiking, swimming, tennis, and more. Today you’ll enjoy a thrilling Econature tour, a fascinating tour of the surrounding wilderness conducted by a knowledgeable guide. Lunch is also included. This evening, sit down to a gourmet dinner, sip fine wine on the terrace, or mingle with other guests in one of the lounges or games room.

Day 7: Sonora Resort – Vancouver 
Check out this morning after breakfast, and board the water taxi back to Campbell River, where you will continue your drive south along the eastern shores of Vancouver Island. Small seaside towns such as Comox offer delightful spots to stop for a quick lunch (included) or some shopping. Arrive in Nanaimo and board a BC Ferries vessel to sail across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver, where the remainder of your day is at leisure. Check in to your hotel, where you will stay for your final two nights, then you may wish to dine out at one of Vancouver’s many excellent restaurants.

Day 8: Vancouver
Today is completely yours to explore this vibrant, cosmopolitan city. Boutique shops line Robson Street, offer everything from high fashion to aboriginal artwork. Perhaps pay a visit to Khot-La-Cha Art Gallery and Gift Shop, boasting masks, prints, jewellery, textiles, and clothing produced by First National artists. Discover the charms and sights of this truly magnificent city on the water.

Day 9: Depart Vancouver
Today, check out of your hotel and drive to Vancouver International Airport to drop off your hire car and catch your departure flight back to the UK.
