Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5-12 years by providing respite breaks and on-going outreach support since 1996. Their vision is for every child to be able to make the most of their one chance at childhood.
As a team, we agreed to do a 10k sponsored walk from our branch to Lyndhurst in order to raise money for the charity. However, we didn’t stop there! We decided to also dress up as bumble bees to promote Honeypot even further.
On the morning, we were ready to start buzzing and gathered at the branch to prepare for the walk. It took us 3 hours underneath the scorching sun to cover the distance. This activity drew a lot of attention and a few people were even happy to donate on the day.
In total, we managed to raise £550 for the Honeypot Children’s Charity, which was then matched by the Hays Foundation so we were able to donate double to this amazing cause!
