Torquay sits at the heart of 22 miles of unspoilt coastline and is often referred to as the 'English Riviera'. Discover a mild climate, sparkling blue waters, and beautiful public gardens filled with subtropical plants and palm trees. By day you can relax on one of the sandy beaches, explore the harbour, marina, and shops; or get active with walks, sailing, bowls, golf, or fishing. By night you can enjoy theatres, nightclubs, cabarets, and discos. The many local attractions include Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, Kent's Cavern, Torbay Steam Railway, Cockington village, and Torquay’s new Living Coasts wildlife attraction.

Travel by coach to Regina Hotel in Torquay and check in for a six-night stay. Perfectly situated on the harbour-side, the hotel's ground floor was extensively refurbished in 2008 and it was the home for three years to the poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning. On-site amenities include: a bar lounge, entertainment room with bar, dance floor, and evening entertainment; complimentary Wi-Fi in public areas, limited car parking, and 100% non-smoking. The 68 bedrooms have central heating, private bathroom with bathtub or shower and WC; tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, internal telephone, and television with Freeview and radio channels.

The following day you can join an excursion to Exmouth and Sidmouth; where you can visit Exmouth's local museum, Blue Plaque Trail, and Manor Park Gardens and the floral displays at Sidmouth's Connaught Gardens. Day three's excursion takes you to Teignmouth and Exeter: Teignmouth is home to the Georgian-style Den Crescent and Assembly Rooms, a stunning Victorian pier, and a river beach leading to the harbour and old town; you can also explore Exeter's cathedral, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Gallery, and take a rest at Ship Inn, once frequented by Francis Drake. Day 6 brings a half-day trip to Buckfast Abbey which is famous for its tonic wine made by the resident monastic community.
