You’ll spend your first night at leisure in Cape Town, perhaps spend time relaxing on the deck, surrounded by greenery and a water feature, and breathe in the distant sounds of the vibrant city below, before heading out to explore the local area.

Day 2: Cape Town
Today you’ll have the day free in Cape Town to explore at your leisure. Your hotel is ideally located in the heart of Cape Town, making tourist attractions like Table Mountain, Robben Island, and Cape Town City Centre easily accessible. You can spend today exploring these points of interest and get a true taste of Cape Town life.

Day 3: Cape Town
Today you’ll head on your Full-Day Aquila Safari. After being picked up, your group will head up the N1 Highway, through the spectacular Hex River Valley and arrive at Aquila Private Game Reserve. The bio-diverse habitat of the reserve ensures plenty of interest for the avid game viewer and birder. An experienced game ranger will take you on a game drive where you’ll have the chance to see giraffe, black and blue wildebeest, zebra, leopard, and 172 species of bird including the black eagle. Lunch is included today.

Day 4: Cape Town
Spend today at leisure in Cape Town. Perhaps spend time exploring the nearby V&A Waterfront, which is just a short walk from your hotel, and is an iconic 123-hectare neighbourhood hosting a variety of attractions and activities for all ages, including stores, food and drink, markets, and the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), a cultural landmark of the city.

Day 5: Cape Town to Hermanus
It’s time to bid farewell to Cape Town and drive to 4* Harbour House Hermanus Hotel and Apartments, where you will stay for the next two nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Hermanus is a great place to escape to nature, and is known as the whale watching capital of the world. Spend your first night at leisure, enjoying one of the two large swimming pools and lush gardens circling the property.

Day 6: Hermanus
Enjoy a lovely breakfast at the hotel before setting off on another day to enjoy Hermanus. Today you can visit The Old Harbour, an open-air museum which depicts the history of the fishing and whaling industry. See some restored old fishing boats and the jetty, as well as indoor displays in stone buildings where fishing shacks used to stand in days gone by.

Day 7: Hermanus – Swellendam
Enjoy breakfast before leaving Hermanus and driving to Swellendam, where you will stay at 5* De Kloof Luxury Estate for one night on a bed & breakfast basis. This unique, hidden gem retreat offers five-star boutique accommodation, and you have today to spend enjoying the amenities. These include a Sans Souci Day Spa, Restaurant 18ZeroOne, and a lush secluded green valley.

Day 8: Swellendam – Stellenbosch
After a lovely breakfast you’ll head off to your final destination, Stellenbosch, where you’ll stay for the next two nights at 4* Spier Hotel & Wine Farm, on a bed & breakfast basis. After breakfast, perhaps head on a wine tour (own expense), where you’ll truly get to experience wineries that specialise in a variety of white, red, rose, and sparkling wines. You could also spend time at the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, a place of expansive vistas, tranquil groves, and lush vegetation. Take a walk and be awe-inspired by the artwork and beauty of the exhibit.

Day 10: Stellenbosch – UK
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before driving back to Cape Town Airport and dropping off your hire car, before your flight back to the UK, armed with wonderful memories of your South African adventure.
