Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Sydney

On arrival into Sydney International Airport, you will be transferred to Oaks Sydney Goldsbrough Suites for a four-night stay on a room-only basis. Sydney is New South Wales’ vibrant capital and the largest city in Australia, home to the famous Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach. Perhaps tonight, take a walk down to Sydney Harbour for your first views of the city’s iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Day 2: Bondi Surf Experience

Today, it’s time to learn how to surf! This popular two-hour beginner course teaches you how to safely paddle out and get up onto your first wave. Here you will be taught in a small group setting of six students or less, so you get plenty of hands-on help. To build up your knowledge and confidence, you will first start out on the beach, where you’ll be taught how to recognise surf conditions and practice your surfing technique before you get into the water. Then it’s off into the ocean, where you start off in broken waves – the white foam created after the waves run their course. You will be amazed at how easy, safe, and enjoyable it can be to learn to surf. At the end of your surf lesson, make your own way back to your Sydney hotel, then the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Sydney Classic Bike Tour

This morning, enjoy a four-hour bicycle tour through all of the city’s iconic sights. See Sydney's stunning harbour, the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Hyde Park, the Anzac War Memorial, Chinatown, Sydney Tower, Parliament House, Queen Victoria Building, Museum of Contemporary Art, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and over 30 more great attractions. Stop to take in a warm friendly pub at a half-way point in your tour, but just for a quick drink... there's a lot to see! At the end of your tour, make your own way back to your Sydney hotel, then the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4: Sydney

Your last day in Sydney is at leisure, so you are free to visit any of the sights you haven’t been able to fit in yet, or visit one of the nearby beaches for a swim. Alternatively, you could get out of the city for the day by booking an excursion to Hunter Valley (at own expense) to sample some of New South Wales’ best wine.

Day 5: Sydney – Port Douglas

The next part of your trip starts today. After checking out of your Sydney hotel you will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your flight to Cairns – the gateway to Tropical North Queensland. On arrival, take your private transfer to Silkari Lagoons Port Douglas hotel, where you will spend the next four nights on a room-only basis. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the area at your own pace.

Day 6: Full-Day Outer Barrier Reef Cruise

This morning, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Port Douglas Marina to board your vessel for your 6.5 hour Great Barrier Reef cruise. Visit the renowned Agincourt Reef, which is located at the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Here, you can swim, snorkel, or dive in the clear water, surrounded by a ribbon reef with spectacular coral formations and marine life. Activities are also available for non-swimmers. After arrival back at the marina, you will be transferred back to your hotel and then enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures

You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, which is one of the best places to see crocodiles and local wildlife in Tropical North Queensland. With over 2,100 metres of timber boardwalks and pathways to explore, you can see an array of wildlife, including beautiful tropical birds, reptiles, and insects. Enjoy the entertaining and educational wildlife presentations with snakes, cassowaries, koalas, crocodiles, quolls, and much more, then take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon to see crocodiles and other wildlife. You will then be transferred back to your accommodation and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Port Douglas

Enjoy a day at leisure in Port Douglas. Continue to explore the local area, spend a day lazing on Four Mile Beach, or perhaps book an excursion to the Daintree Rainforest (at own expense).

Day 9: Port Douglas – Queenstown

On arrival, you’ll be transferred to Garden Court Suites & Apartment, where you will spend the next four nights on a room-only basis. Surrounded by towering mountains and positioned on the edge of a lake, Queenstown is a hub of adventure activities. Enjoy your first night at leisure.

Day 10: Routeburn Trail

Rated one of the world’sworlds ‘Top Ten Classic Hikes’, the Routeburn Track combines personal achievement with awe-inspiring scenery. You will be collected from your hotel for this full-day guided walk, where you will explore the valley and be rewarded with spectacular views and a picnic lunch.
