Earlier this year, we held a raffle where we raised over £200 for a local lady to make it easier for her to get around.
The branch also raised £576 for Jagger Curtis, a local boy who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This illness means he is unlikely to live beyond his late teens; our donation contributed towards an electric wheelchair that he needs to aid his mobility.
We also worked with local schools to support the Dictionaries for Life project. During this, every Year Four child receives a dictionary to help with their education.
