DAY 1: Fly to Rhodes

Your adventure begins today when you take a flight from the UK to Rhodes. Upon arrival at the airport, you'll collect your bags and then take a transfer to your hotel in Rhodes Town. Use this time to unpack your things, get used to the hotel, and if you're feeling like it head out to explore Rhodes Town this evening.

DAY 2: Mountain tour and wine tasting

There's plenty of excitement on the agenda for today. You'll start by venturing by coach to Mount Filerimos, just outside of Rhodes Town, where you will enjoy a tour of its peak and the ancient town that once stood here. While you're here too, be sure to take in picture-perfect views of the coastline. Afterwards, you will travel back down and visit a winery rich with vineyards. Here you'll be able to enhance your knowledge on Greek wine from a local expert and taste a variety of fruity blends. Tuck into a delicious lunch before the evening arrives and you can enjoy some time at leisure.

DAY 3: Butterfly Valley and Chalki Island

Today serves up plenty of relaxation and authentic Greek experiences. Begin the day with a chance to stroll peacefully under the beautiful forest canopy at Butterfly Valley and pass the waterfalls, ponds, and plant life. You'll also be able to spot a wide variety of pretty butterflies. Next, travel by boat to reach Chalki Island; there'll be a few hours so you can go swimming or really explore the highlights. Visit the Town Hall, Clock Tower, and Monastery of Agios Ioannis. Make a stop at a local taverna along the quaint harbour to sample fresh calamari and Greek coffee.

DAY 4: Free day, plus Rhodes Town by night

This morning and afternoon is completely free for you to enjoy some relaxation time or the chance to explore. Wander Rhodes to appreciate its cobblestone streets and magnificent interior courtyards, as well as the Street of the Knights and Sultan Mustafa Mosque. You also can't miss out on the Lindos Acropolis; a mix of ancient ruins and the 14th-century Castle of the Knights of St John. In the evening, look forward to a guided tour of Rhodes's old town. At dusk, pass by the Medieval walls and the Palace of the Grand Master and weather permitting, you'll set sail on a cruise around the harbour to see the old town when it's all lit up.

DAY 5: Free day in Rhodes

Today is entirely free for you to roam as you please. Perhaps check out the Archaeological Museum of Rhodes, set in the Hospital of St John. Discover its late-Hellenistic tomb monument before making your way inside to see vases, sculptures, mosaics, and medieval tombs. There's also the ruins at Kameiros, Mandraki Port with its three iconic windmills and lead-up to the Fort of St Nicholas, and the coast of Prasonisi that is unlike anywhere else on the island.

DAY 6: Set sail for Symi Island

You'll have an early start this morning as you make your way to Symi Island. Set sail on a two-hour boat ride to the island; along the way pass unforgettable views of the pastel-coloured buildings dotted down the hillside as you approach. You'll have the chance to tour the Monastery of Panormitis and its Byzantine frescoes and icon of St Michael; believed to protect Greek sailors. Finally, you'll pay a visit to the sponge workshop to learn all about the history of the island and its sponge-diving community. In the evening, you'll have free time enjoy as you wish.

DAY 7: Historic sights and village life

If you didn't manage to visit Lindos earlier in your trip, you needn't worry because a tour of the whitewashed village is on your itinerary today. Stroll through the cobbled streets to reach the hilltop Acropolis, which is home to the iconic Temple of Athena. Following this, take a look at local life away from the tourist spots and call at a number of villages tucked away in the beautiful countryside. Perhaps taste olive oil at a traditional mill and sit down for an authentic Rhodian lunch. Later, there's more free time to explore Rhodes Town.

DAY 8: Time to return home

Today you will get ready for your return flight home to the UK. If you prefer, you can enjoy extra time by booking this tour as part of a Multi-Destination holiday.
