We recently took part in the Neon Midnight Walk in support of St Luke's Hospice and managed to raise £233.98.
St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is an independent charity providing specialist care and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. For many they are like family and their support through some very difficult stages of loved ones lives does not go unnoticed.
On the day we all got our faces painted and participated in the extremely fun warm up session delivered by the local Keep Fit Club. After, we began our 13.1 mile walk! This was a very challenging activity, however we pushed each other as a team and made it to the finish! As a reward for our efforts during the walk we were treated to some nice hot chocolate which was exactly what we needed at 12:30am. The best part was at the end when we received our medals!
We felt quite strongly about supporting the Hospice because many of us have very close relatives that needed care and support from St. Luke's in the past. We would like to thank everyone who donated and supported us!
