Perth is Australia's sunniest capital city, and effortlessly blends urban cool with raw natural beauty. The city is bustling with new bars, restaurants, and outlets, and exploring these is the perfect way to spend your first night. Perth is also home to Kings Park - one of the world's largest inner city parks - a visit here is definitely recommended to see the Perth Skyline and Swan River.
Day 2: Perth
This morning you will head out on a full-day coach tour to Discover Rottnest Island. You’ll be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Rottnest Island by ferry, where you’ll then enjoy a tour around the island, exploring its beauty and tranquillity. The tour will provide you with an insight into Rottnest’s cultural and historical heritage and diverse wildlife, and you will see some of Rottnest’s most spectacular locations including the Wadjemup Lighthouse. You’ll return to Perth via ferry, where you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
Days 3-4: Perth
The next two days are at your leisure to spend in Perth. Your hotel is situated close to the famous Elizabeth Quay, a prime waterfront location with open spaces, playgrounds, public artwork and a range of bars and restaurants. Perhaps take a leisurely stroll alongside the river and get a taste of Perth life. Or why not venture out of the city for a day to explore Margaret River’s vineyards? Margaret River has built a stellar reputation as the home of fine wine in Western Australia, so spend time meandering through the sophisticated and relaxed region, home to over 95 cellar doors, each offering a different experience.
Day 5: Perth to Adelaide
Bid farewell to Perth today. You will be picked up and privately transferred to Perth Intentional Airport for your domestic flight to Adelaide. On arrival into Adelaide International Airport, you will be transferred privately to Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide, where you will stay for the next three nights. Adelaide is bursting with culture, festivals and entertainment, and is home to a thriving restaurant and bar scene, as well as some of the country’s best wine. Perhaps spend your first night wandering through Rundle Mall, Adelaide’s outdoor shopping street or head to the Botanic Garden, a green heaven home to tropical sanctuaries, lush lawns, and stunning architecture.
Day 6: Adelaide
Get ready for an early start today as you look forward to your full-day Kangaroo Island Experience. After being picked up at your hotel, you’ll be transferred to Kangaroo Island by ferry to start your tour. You’ll see all the highlights of this nature playground, from spotting playful fur seals to taking a guided walk along the beach among a colony of sea lions. You’ll enjoy lunch on the tour before the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park and Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, where you will feed kangaroos and get up close with the koalas – there is even the opportunity to hold a koala! You’ll then be taken back to your hotel, via the ferry, at the end of the day.
Day 7: Adelaide
Today is at your leisure to spend in Adelaide. If you would like to have a beach day, you are in the perfect place as Adelaide has so many beautiful beaches close to the city centre. Just a 20 minute tram ride from Adelaide is Glenelg Beach, where you can walk along the sand and grab a bite to eat from one of the many restaurants dotted along Jerry Road. Arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous Three Sisters. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours. Experience the view of Govetts Leap and the magnificent waterfall.
