Our branch recently donated £720 to the Alzheimer’s Society in support of people affected by dementia in Northumberland.
Our team members raised the funds by organising a coach trip to Harrogate. This was to aid the mission of the charity - to provide information and help to people with any form of dementia and their carers.
Services manager for the Alzheimer’s Society in Northumberland, Helen Williams, said: “We campaign for better quality of life for people with dementia and greater understanding of this condition. We also fund an innovative programme of medical and social research into the cause, cure and prevention of dementia and the care people receive.
“In Northumberland, we rely on donations for all of our services. We are so grateful to the staff and customers at Hays Travel in Morpeth for their generosity and support. Without kindness like this we would not be able to help those affected by dementia in this area.”
