Discover some of the most beautiful highlights in the heart of England on this five-day coach tour. Enjoy a cruise amidst scenic countryside, marvel at a mighty medieval fortress, wander through inspiring gardens, explore Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, and take a journey of remembrance at the peaceful National Memorial Arboretum.

Board your coach and travel to Market Bosworth; where you'll check into Bosworth Hall Hotel for a four-night dinner and breakfast stay. This 17th-century mansion boasts original features including an oak-panelled main hall with Tudor stone fireplace plus a bar, restaurant, and leisure club with indoor pool, sauna, steam room, and gym. After breakfast on day two; you'll head to the historic town of Warwick to visit Warwick Castle. Behind the mighty walls lie grand interiors such as the Great Hall and lavish State Rooms; while the atmospheric dungeon brings to life some of the darkest and bloodiest times in the castle’s history. After the castle visit, you'll have free time to explore the town of Warwick; from gift shops, antiques centres, and art galleries to traditional tea rooms, cafés, and pubs.

You'll start day three with a visit to Barnsdale Gardens, created by the late BBC Gardeners’ World presenter, Geoff Hamilton. Referred to as ‘a theme park for gardeners’; the 38 individual garden ‘rooms’ offer an inspiring range of horticultural styles and planting schemes. These include a Japanese Garden, Wildlife Garden, Ornamental Kitchen Garden, Artisan’s Cottage Garden, and much more. There’s also a gift shop and tea room to enjoy. From here you'll travel the short distance to Rutland Water; one of the most important wildfowl sanctuaries in the UK. This large, horseshoe-shaped reservoir is set within 3,000 acres of beautiful countryside and you'll have the chance to enjoy the scenery and look out for the unique wildlife on a relaxing cruise aboard the Rutland Belle.

Day four takes you to the National Memorial Arboretum; the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance. This evolving, mature woodland landscape features 30,000 trees and a vast collection of memorials; a peaceful and beautiful place to remember lives lost. You'll explore the 150-acre site with a 50-minute journey by land train, which provides you with lovely views across the landscape and introduces you to some of the thought-provoking memorials. After the train ride, you'll have free time at leisure. Next, you'll spend some time in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace and a busy, attractive town of timbered buildings, theatres, and riverside parks. Fans of Shakespeare can visit the house in which he was born, and there’s a chance to wander the riverside gardens or discover the town’s Swan Theatre, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
