Excellent value at this four-star hotel
Hotel Marhaba Beach is a very welcoming hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted by many members of staff that all helped with our luggage and settled us into the hotel.

The rooms here were clean, tidy and had a daily housekeeping service. The hotel is located between Port El Kantaoui and the Medina, both a short taxi-ride away that costs around £4 in total. But there's also a few shops within walking distance. The safe beach sits a few steps away, with sun loungers for those wanting to relax.

Buffet food is on offer with a good range of different meals for lunch and dinner. However, breakfast did not appeal to us much during our stay, as there was a lack of variety to suit our tastes. During the evenings the hotel has different entertainment in the main lounge, while the reception area hosts different acts including singers and keyboard players.

As a young couple staying at this hotel, we felt it met our standards and were impressed with the hotel facilities and cleanliness of the place.

We would go back to this hotel, or Tunisia in general, for another holiday as we enjoyed the beach, weather and interesting excursions.

the hotel is a little dated but the whole staff from the animation team to the waiters make this a fantastic holiday for all the family.

Good service from staff at Dining, Bar, Reception and Cleaning.
Room very good but did not need to use cooling system which seemed either not working at time of year (ac) or strange sounding (fan). My personal choice was to keep curtains closed during hottest part of day and therefore nota problem for me.
Breakfasts very good for variety and quality. Evening meals a bit bland in taste and not a great variety of Tunisian dishes.
Excellent value for money holiday.
Would like to hear about excursions before I get to destination and had prebooked several trips elsewhere even though Thomas Cooke had 4-5 trips per day available.

Mrs Gallagher, 14 October 2014

This hotel needs general updating. Bathroom and bedrooms quite shabby, service and care from staff excellent. Dining experience was not particularly good, several people including my husband had severe sickness and diarrhoea , we learnt of several people needing medical care and being unwell for two or three days.. The food preparation and chill plates this hotel need to be revised. Food left for long periods of time on either of these items was not temperature checked and naturally bacteria thrives .entertainment was poor to say the least the audience were the entertainment, the nearby hotel, taj kalef was much better and we spent several nights there. Shame about the Marhaba beach, I had wanted to go there for some time, disappointing,
