Full Itinerary
Day 1: UK – Arrive Nairobi
Upon arrival into Nairobi International Airport, you will be met and transferred privately to Tamarind Tree Hotel for a one-night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy time to refresh from the flight and make use of the hotel’s facilities in preparation for an early departure the next morning to begin your safari experience.
Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
This morning, you will be collected from your hotel early and transferred to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for a short flight to Amboseli Airstrip. You will be met at the airstrip by your safari guide, and then have your first game drive experience en route to Elewana Tortilis Camp, where you will spend the next three nights. Elewana Tortilis Camp is located on the south-western edge of the park, facing the mountain and overlooking its own private conservancy – Kitirua Conservancy. The en suite tents are spacious, comfortable, and offer views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The first eco-lodge of its size, the main lounge, bar, and dining area have been built using natural materials, including classic thatched roofs, representative of the building style of the area.
After check-in, you will enjoy a delightful lunch at the camp before heading out on an afternoon game drive. At sunset your guide will find a perfect spot to watch this dramatic time of day unfold, accompanied by a selection of drinks and snacks. This activity is fondly known on safari as ‘sundowners’. Once the sun has set you will return to the camp with time to refresh before dinner.
Days 3-4: Amboseli National Park
During your next two days in Amboseli National Park you will enjoy two game drives each day in the private Kitirua Conservancy, which covers over 30,000 acres and offers unrivalled game viewing. Amboseli is most famous for its elephants – some of the largest in Africa – but most big safari animals can be spotted here. All meals are included during your stay, including bush breakfasts, lunch, sundowners, and dinner, as well as local drinks.
Day 5: Amboseli National Park – Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
This morning, enjoy breakfast with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, before transferring to Amboseli Airstrip for your flight to your next safari destination – Lewa Conservancy Camp. You will be met at Lewa Airstrip by your safari guide and then enjoy a game drive en route to Elewana Lewa Safari Camp, where you will spend the next three nights. Elewana Lewa Safari Camp is a small, comfortable, and relaxed retreat in the heart of Lewa. Featuring large tented bedrooms with verandas and en suite bathrooms, the camp offers authentic comfort for its visitors. The main mess area is warmed by cosy log fires, perfect for relaxing after a day in the Conservancy. After lunch, you will enjoy another sunset safari and ‘sundowners’ before returning to the camp for dinner.
Days 6-7: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
The next two days will be spent exploring the world-renowned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, which is home to over 130 white and black rhino, as well as the largest concentration of Grévy's zebra in the world. You will also be able to spot other wildlife, including lions, leopards, jackals, and diverse birdlife on your morning and evening game drives. You can also opt to join a guided bush walk, or for an additional cost you can explore the area on a guided horse riding safari or camel trek. All meals are included during your stay, including bush breakfasts, lunch, sundowners, and dinner, as well as local drinks.
Day 8: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy – Mara North Conservancy
After breakfast in camp, transfer to Lewa Airstrip for your flight to Mara North Airstrip, for your next safari adventure. On arrival, you will be met by your safari guide and enjoy a game drive en route to Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp, where you will spend the next three nights. Located in the Mara North Conservancy, in the heart of the Masai Mara ecosystem, Elephant Pepper Camp is the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of the Masai Mara. Set in a mixed grove of fig and pepper trees, ten spacious safari tents provide traditional, luxurious safari accommodation. Wildlife wanders across the plains in front of camp and at night, the roar of lions, call of the leopard, and trumpeting of the elephants close by are reassurance of being at one with the wild. After check-in, you will enjoy a delightful lunch at the camp before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge after sunset and prepare for dinner.
Days 9-10: Mara North Conservancy
During the rest of your stay you will continue to enjoy the exclusive safari experience of the Mara North Conservancy, as well as spending a day in the world-famous Masai Mara Reserve. Discover the diversity of this area’s wildlife, including the famed Big Five (leopard, buffalo, rhino, lion, and elephant) and more, on twice-daily game drives or guided bush walks. All meals are included during your stay, including bush breakfasts, lunch, sundowners, and dinner, as well as local drinks.
Day 11: Fly back to the UK
Enjoy breakfast in camp before a final game drive en route to Mara North Airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport. From there, you will be collected and transferred to Nairobi International Airport for your flight back to the UK.
