Such a lovely hotel, rooms ,staff, food...first class

Ms Stuart, 13 October 2014

Hello, well we had asked for a quiet hotel, and I guess that the Kissos was possibly nearer to being quiet than most of the others. The staff were friendly and helpful. But the food was poor, and the rooms were not cleaned very well. Good arrangements for our last day as although we had to vacate our rooms by 12.00midday they allowed us to use a courtesy room for shower etc. before we left. It's not a place we would ever wish to stay in again, and even though the people everywhere were friendly, Cyprus is just too built up for us. Fantastic arrangements for replacing lost glasses however, for which we are thankful. We went on three tours and the one led by a retired American researcher was excellent and these were arranged by the hotel. So some good things, but some not so good. Lastly the transfers were a bit of a problem. When we arrived the company that was should have organised them claimed to k now nothing about us. It was only when I started asking the reps of other companies, who did know who we were that the woman rep. was persuaded to take us to our hotel. The return to the airport turned up in the end, late due to traffic, but in view of our experience when we arrived we didn't really trust them to get it right. Something you might need to know for the future. But oh help the food!!! And we love foreign food and really make an effort to speak a little of the local language, outside of the hotel the food was interesting but sadly we'd paid for half board. And food on a holiday is really important. Friends took us out to another hotel one night where we had a really lovely meal. Sorry about all this, but you need to know. All the best, Revd. A-M Stuart.
