Hello and thank you for visiting my page!

First and foremost, my job is to find you the best holiday that fits within your budget but the service that I and Hays Travel provide goes much further than that, it’s all about the little details. Getting those details right is how we can turn a nice break away into a wonderfully memorable experience that you will remember forever.

To tell a little about myself, I qualified as a travel consultant straight after leaving school and worked for two of the national travel agents and also a local independent. After a spell working as a customer service specialist for a well-known consumer rights company, I got married and had two beautiful babies, followed by a period of domestic bliss….

When the children got older (and a lot bigger!) I found Hays Travel and they gave me the opportunity to put all my customer service and travel experience together with their wealth of resources, to create a travel consultancy service that I think offers my clients a great blend of value and personal, high quality service.

I have been fortunate enough to travel well. I have safaried in Africa, cruised all over the world, driven the East and West coasts of America, walked on a glacier in Alaska and tasted the culinary delights of the hawker markets of Singapore to name a few. I have visited friends in Adelaide, San Diego, New York, Vancouver, Dubai, oh and Santa twice in Lapland! And for when you are thinking of something nearer to home, I know my way around the UK too.

Holidays can be so much more than a change of scenery. Given the opportunity, I would love to help you plan your next travel experience and sort out all those little details that make it truly special.

I have so much more I can tell you about the three destinations that make me smile let alone all of the other wonderful adventures that I can’t wait to share with you.

Together we can travel the world!

The places that make me smile
Cape Town & Safari It truly is a wonder of the world to sit high up on a rock with a sundowner in hand watching the sun set on another spectacular day with nothing but land, trees and animals as far as the eye can see! The opportunity to eat Breakfast in the bush alongside monkeys, giraffes and Elephants is a privilege as is the chance to see a lioness up close feeding her six cubs. A Safari combined with South African culture and history in Cape Town is a fantastic way to spend 2 weeks. Whether it’s roaming through the Vineyards wine (and Chocolate) tasting, driving to the Cape of Good Hope where you can stand and imagine the East India Ships battling their way round this sometimes treacherous coastline in Cooks time, dining on delicious local fresh fish and seafood, taking a trip to Robyn Island or last but not least catching the cable car to the summit of Table Top Mountain as we did it’s an adventure you won’t want to miss!
USA Where to start with this vast country! East to West I think. New York with its trawling metropolis is a must whether for a long weekend or a 5 night stay. During our 5 night stay we rode the metro from Penn street to Brooklyn and walked back to downtown Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge as the sun rose allowing us the most mesmerising view of the Manhattan Sky line. Then from Central park to Harlem to experience Jazz as it should be served with copious amounts of chicken, rice and peas! Times Square with its glitzy lights onto Rock of Ages musical on Broadway (with of course a shopping trip into the likes of Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s in Between). Central Park; a hot dog from a street vendor, a quick ride in a New York Cab to Chinatown and Little Italy for dinner that night. Wall Street, a Ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty then onto Ground Zero to reflect in the events that united this wondrous city as one! If the West coast appeals then our cruise around Hawaii and road trip following the Big Sur from LA to San Francisco might appeal. Although we did this trip as one vacation it can be split into two. After 2 nights in Honolulu having chilled out drinking Mai Tai’s on the beach on day 1, experiencing an emotional and educational day 2 at the Pearl Harbour and Aviation museum we embarked on a 7 night cruise from Honolulu taking in Ohau, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. During this cruise we took a helicopter flight over an active volcano flying out to sea so that we could witness the red hot lava flowing over the cliff edge into the sea (A geographical wonder), Zip lined through tropical forest where scenes from Jurassic Park were filmed, experienced a Hawaiian Luau with traditional hula dancing feasting on Hawaiian Poke and of course tried our hand at surfing (not very successfully I hasten to add!) A holiday films are made of! Flying from Honolulu to Los Angeles we hired a car and after checking the LA sights of Beverly Hills, the Chinese theatre (original home of the Oscars), The Dolby Theatre (now home to the Oscars and bizarrely actually a shopping mall), the Hollywood sign, Santa Monica beach and Pier and cycling down to Venice beach we travelled up the Big Sur. We stayed at Santa Barbara and Pebble Beach (a must for the avid golf fanatics amongst you) having travelled through Carmel and arrived in San Francisco. We had two nights here and managed to take the ferry across to Alcatraz (these tickets need to be booked months in advance!) ride one of the famous trolley cars up and down those hilly San Fran streets, ate an amazing clam chowder and Dungeness crab thermidor at Scoma’s on Pier 47 and walked along Fisherman’s wharf.
ALASKA Contrary to belief the sun does shine in Alaska and it does get warm making this a memorable summer vacation. My family and I cruised around Alaska giving us the chance to pan for gold and take a train ride through the Yukon pass allowing us to follow the trail of those that did just this in the midst of the Goldrush! We also helicoptered onto The Medenhall Glacier (near Juneau) which is situated in the Tongass National Forest. This in itself is a once in a life time trip and completely awe inspiring! We love Cruising as it’s a fantastic holiday for all generations as there is something for all to do from toddlers to Grandparents. Great dining experiences, West end style shows and a long and continuous list of activities for the kids and this is just the start!
