Mrs Murphy, 03 August 2015

We were originally booked for Tunisia which due to the recent events had to be cancelled. Thomas cook managed to get us all booked in to the cettia club in marmaris to be informed a week before that they had over booked & they were offering alternative accommodation at marmaris palace. We were disappointed that we were loosing a 14night holiday for an 11 night holiday but felt we didn't have much choice. The marmaris palace was a lovely hotel with all the facilities needed for a family holiday with a few minor incidents that could of been avoided.
Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels & most staff were helpful. Check in was rather slow as there was only one member of staff on reception at 4am & no food or drink was available as the all inclusive finished at 0.30. We were not made aware that bottled water was available from fridges located in reception to help yourself to. Food was lovely with a mix to suit all tastes, although there was an incident where a restaurant staff member flicked pancake onto my arm straight off the grill covered in hot oil & then stood & laughed at me as if it was my fault!
My sister reported a problem in her bathroom 4 times, each time to be told the problem was fixed only to be woken at 2am with sewage on the floor which came from all the rooms in the block. Not the most hygienist of places to be with children. She was eventually moved on our last night after the hotel eventually admitted they couldn't fix it.
Pool area was lovely & clean but like most hotels there wasn't enough sunbeds & although rules state towels placed before 8am would be removed this wasn't the case. We witnessed guests placing towels at 4am!!!
Bar was well stocked with a selection of cocktails included in the all inclusive as well as gin, whiskey & vodka but no white rum.
Had a great time trying out the water sports but was let down by the guy running it after he did a deal with my daughter if she promised to go back the next day only to be told he was "kidding" & wouldn't do the activity for the price he agreed on & wanted another 30TL per person.
As I say this was a good holiday but with imperfections that could be avoided & certainly not worth the price per person stated in the brochures.

clean. regular maid service. fresh towels. working air conditioning. On one day, the restaurant provided limited service. This lasted all day. One barman near the pool decided to service alchohol to a minor. Speaking of alchohol. I wanted beer that actually contained alchohol, the cups could have also been bigger. I found myself running back to the bar after drinking 200ml of beer. Whilst I was promised a free bar, I didnt recieve this. Would I go back? Definately not.

Accomodation ok had hassle with pervy waiters and food was very poor quality.

Mr Mcglashan, 21 May 2015

Very smart, clean hotel with very friendly staff

Mr Nelson, 14 May 2015

Hotel and staff were great, food was terrible and the Thomas Cook rep arrogant, aggressive and not helpful at all.

Mr Coupland, 27 April 2015

It was certainly not 5*,but nor was it 5* price. For the amount paid it was a fair price, the staff were always willing to do their best for you,but the biggest let down was the food. There was little in the way of variety & what there was tended to be colder than that served up in most other countries.
