Our Birtley team organised a coach trip to the Edinburgh Christmas Market in order to raise money for Heel & Toe.
The charity provide conductive education therapy to children all over the North East who have Cerebral Palsy and other physical disabilities from their centre in County Durham. The charity is not government funded and our team felt very strongly about supporting such a great cause.
Amy the manager of Birtley said: “I was lucky enough to attend the grand opening of the new centre and have a look at the fantastic changes they have done. What a great morning it was to experience and see the children loving the new hydrotherapy pool lights”.
On the coaches the team held a raffle with three prizes on each. Guests also took part in a best Christmas jumper competition and played bingo which always goes down a treat. The children got selection boxes and Christmas music was playing, making for a very festive and very enjoyable trip. The team raised £1051 in total to help out Heel & Toe and we are sure they will benefit from this hugely.
