You’ll explore South Africa’s most stunning and contrasting highlights, with this jam-packed adventure through city and safari via the picturesque Western Cape. You’ll experience iconic sights in Cape Town, world-famous experiences in the Cape Winelands and end with two nights’ at a wonderful game reserve, with the opportunity to spot the Big Five.
Starting in cosmopolitan Cape Town, home to world-renowned Table Mountain and Robben Island, you’ll soak up the vibrant atmosphere and iconic views before heading to the rugged Cape Peninsula, where you will embark on a full day tour exploring the area, including a visit to the African penguins at Boulders Beach. Your small group journey continues to some of the most iconic places in South Africa’s Western Cape, comprising a full day Cape Winelands experience, and your trip ends with two nights at Inverdoorn Game Reserve with the chance to immerse in exhilarating game drives each day in search of the spectacular Big Five.

Full Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Cape Town
You’ll arrive at Cape Town International Airport and will be transferred to your hotel, 4* Kloof Street Hotel, where you’ll stay for five nights. You’ll spend your first night at leisure in Cape Town, perhaps spend time on the sunny hotel rooftop deck with its bar, pool and loungers, or enjoy one of the stunning hotel restaurants before heading out to explore the local area.
Day 2: Cape Town
After starting today with a hearty breakfast, you’ll head on a drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, an incredibly beautiful stretch of coast with the glistening Atlantic Ocean on your side. Highlights of your drive today include Sea Point, Clifton Beach, Camps Bay, and Twelve Apostles. Look forward to exploring the magnificent Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and viewing the lovely colony of African Penguins on Boulders Beach.
Day 3: Cape Town
You have an exciting day ahead, as you head on a full day Winelands experience exploring the world famous region. While the wine is undoubtedly the highlight, you will also bask in the incredible mountain scenery, explore the collection of historic little hamlets and towns dotted around the countryside, and of course some of the country’s best restaurants. You’ll enjoy wine tasting with cheese pairing at Spier Winery and Franschhoek throughout the day.
Day 4: Cape Town
Today after breakfast, you’ll spend the full day exploring Cape Town City. You’ll head to the top of Table Mountain by cable car, rising 1000m above sea level, it is the iconic sight that makes Cape Town instantly recognisable – a visit to the city isn’t complete without having been to the top. You’ll then drive to the Castle of Good Hope, home to the oldest building in Cape Town, Cape City Hall, and South African Parliament Buildings, and stroll through vibrant Malay Quarters, brimming with multi-coloured houses. You’ll also take a visit to Langa Township, where you will experience the different cultures of Cape Town.
Day 5: Cape Town
After filling up on breakfast, you’ll spend today at leisure in Cape Town. You may like to spend some time at your hotel, lounging indoors with a delicious gormet pizza or indulging in a delicious desert on the rooftop deck. If you wish to spend your day exploring the city further, perhaps head on an eye-opening tour of historic Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 18 years. The tour ends with a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell.
Day 6-7: Cape Town to Safari
This morning after breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and transfer to Inverdoorn Game Reserve where you will stay for two nights on a full board basis. Once checked in, for the next two days you will take part in two game drives (one each day). The game drives give you the opportunity to experience a majestic safari in a traditional game viewing vehicle, with the chance to spot the alluring Big Five. You’ll enjoy a welcome drink on arrival followed by a traditional 2 to 3-hour game drive hosted by a ranger. You’ll enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner both days, surrounded by beautiful safari views.
Day 8: Safari to UK
Today you’ll have at leisure before heading home. Enjoy your lovely breakfast, check out of your room and spend your final hour or two soaking in the last of the sun by the hotel pool. You’ll then be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your flight back to the UK.
