Arrival in Tokyo details
Arriving late afternoon (Tokyo time, of course), we'll transfer to our hotel in the heart of the city and check in.
This evening is your first opportunity to sample some authentic Japanese cuisine. The city is a favourite with foodies thanks to its innovative and experimental culinary scene - so what will it be? Sushi? Ramen? Gyoza? Our mouths are watering just thinking of all the options.
Day 3: Tokyo
Explore Tokyo with visits to the Meiji Shrine, Omotesando Street, Akihabara and Harajuku.
Day 5: Mindo - Quito
This morning, take part in a hike through the cloud forest to enjoy more of the spectacular scenery and wildlife on foot. Then, travel to Mitad del Mundo, where you can pose for a photo on the Equator line!
Day 6: Quito - Santa Cruz Island
Today you’ll fly to the Galapagos Islands. Your local guide will meet you on arrival on Santa Cruz Island, and the sightseeing starts straight away. You’ll make your way to a private ranch in the Highlands, where giant tortoises are free to roam.
Day 7: Santa Cruz Island - Isabela Island
This morning, transfer by boat to Isabela Island and make your way to the little town of Puerto Villamil. This afternoon, there is small boat tour of Isabela’s Bay which includes a short cruise along the coast, a snorkel and a walk on Tintoreras Islet.
Day 8: Isabela Island
This morning, take a short ride to a nearby wetland, home to pink flamingos and Pintail Ducks, before walking to the nearby Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre.
Day 9: Santa Cruz Island
Today is free to spend as you please. However, if you enjoy snorkelling our optional excursion to Los Tuneles is a must.

Your adventure continues with a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station. You’ll then travel to another island, San Cristóbal, and visit the Interpretation Centre. Here you’ll learn about the history of the archipelago.

Today you’ll take a cruise along the coast and hopefully catch a glimpse of San Cristóbal’s fabulous marine life. After lunch, stop at a beautiful beach accessible only by boat – a little slice of paradise and the perfect place to relax.

It’s your final day in the Galapagos and you’re free to spend it at leisure.
Days 13-14: Quito - UK
Say farewell to the Galapagos today. You’ll fly back to the UK this evening on your overnight flight.
