Jennifer Harding - My Homeworking Journey
From the moment I first spoke to the recruitment team to now, I have had the full support from head office and the homeworking teams.
Homeworking General Manager, Amy also makes the time to take care and you feel like the number one priority any time you need support. All of the Hays homeworkers all support each other and I now class some of them as my best friends. It is like you have an extra family - a Hays Travel family.
I love that I can work the hours I need to around my family needs. I have built a great client base with repeat customers.
Don't get me wrong, it is not an easy job that you just sit and book… you learn skills and have to update your knowledge all the time. I attend at least two travel shows a month if possible where I interact with the suppliers.
I have also had the chance to go on some amazing trips to learn and help sell. Just recently I went to South Africa and fell in love, being able to showcase a country on my Facebook page helps build on the client base and adds to my travel knowledge.
I am looking forward to the Hays Homeworking Conference in April where we will be heading to Carvoeiro in Portugal, to add to my knowledge and learn how Hays will be moving forwarding the travel industry, connecting with other homeworking agents and sharing our ideas.
