My Homeworking Story: Graham Kelly
After being in the travel industry for over 15 years, the independent company I was working for was making us redundant... so I came out of travel and opened my own café. We closed early one afternoon and I became bored and started looking to get back into travel.
A few of my old colleagues were working with Hays Travel and doing well. I thought I would apply and I was successful. Within a few weeks I went for my very easy training over in Sunderland.
I have been with Hays Travel for over 13 years now and actually work with them full time. What enticed me to Hays was the total flexibility to work the hours I wanted to, the unlimited earning potential and the fact that Hays is the largest independent travel agent in the UK. There is plenty of support even though you are working from home and there's always a helpful and friendly voice at the end of the telephone should you need anything at all.
The highlights for me so far of working with Hays have been the annual staff xmas parties, the 2017 party was even more special as I picked up the Homeworker of the Year Award. Last year's homeworker conference over in Marbella, Spain was a fantastic event. It was very informative and is a great way to meet some of your colleagues both at head office and other homeworkers.
Once you get into high flyers (which is for those who have hit their personal targets that year) you'll be invited to exclusive events, where again, you get time to spend with your colleagues with all your expenses paid. My advice to anyone who is looking to start homeworking is to contact Hays ASAP and get yourself on board!
