Paul Morgan: “Dubai… An Oasis of luxury, peace and tranquillity that you will never forget”
This is Paul, branch manager at Edinburgh Cameron Toll. He has been working with Hays Travel since October 2019 and prior to this, was with Thomas Cook. He has been in travel since he left school, and absolutely loves the industry. He decided to make the move to Hays Travel retail as he wanted the flexibility and individual approach to selling holidays. In March 2020 he had the opportunity to go to Dubai on a educational trip. These trips allow our staff to explore the world and widen their travel knowledge, in order to provide personal experiences to customers when finding their dream destination. During my visit to Dubai, I stayed at The Palace at One & Only Royal Mirage and it was truly fabulous. An all-round five star experience. This has to be the best hotel I have ever had the privilege to stay in. Whilst having a wander around, I visited downtown Dubai and stopped off at the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, which was breath-taking. I also stopped past the famous Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Hotel for a quick photo opportunity.
The waterpark at the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm is absolutely worth a visit for anyone wanting to experience some thrill seeking slides or a relaxing float around the lazy river. Whilst at the waterpark, I got a guided tour of the Atlantis Hotel including the underwater suite and restaurant. I spent the entire day here and would highly recommend the waterpark and the hotel for anyone looking for a fun and vibrant atmosphere. I got the opportunity to see One & Only The Palm which is an intimate luxury beach resort and a world away from anything I have seen before. It is an oasis of luxury, peace and tranquillity that will leave a lasting impression you will never forget.
The food was of great quality everywhere I ate, especially the seafood. It was catered to all types of people and the flavours I experienced were simply amazing. I got to experience a great selection of food including steak, crab, lobster, king prawns, fresh pasta and amazingly spiced Indian food. The weather was a great temperature during the day around mid-20’s and high teens during the evening. It was a bit fresh in the evening and a long top was needed to keep the chill off.
Overall, I would give this educational trip five stars and I would highly recommend a visit to Dubai. Experiencing the culture of UAE along with the sensational hotels food is something that you have to experience in your lifetime.
