Charles Kasper - P&O Britannia Trip!
I was so happy when I was given the opportunity to board P&O Cruises’ Britannia from Southampton, Carnival House in April 2019 for a work educational visit. It was everything I expected it to be and more!
P&O’s Britannia had a wealth of exciting on-site facilities for so many different people to enjoy, including: a pool, an adult-only pool, retreat and spa, speciality dining, and amazing entertainment from the theatre and live lounge - where Gareth Gates and Chesney Hawkes were due to play. For the little ones, the services offered in the kids’ club were exceptional.
The food options were fantastic; there was something to suit everyone. I especially enjoyed the Indian food from the Sindhu restaurant and afternoon tea in the Epicurian, where the atmosphere was blissful and the staff were lovely. The best part of all was meeting the P&O’s food hero, famous pastry chef, Eric Lanlard; this just topped the whole experience off.
The weather was a little windy; however this didn’t hinder my experience as the ship itself was incredible with so much to offer. The cabins were so spacious and up to an extremely high standard and there was always plenty going on so I couldn’t get bored, even if I tried.
I loved every minute of this experience and I would recommend to anyone that they need to book this cruise ASAP! The ship is incredibly contemporary, boasting modern décor and individual art - an experience I want to re-live again and again!
