Overview Facilities Food, drink & entertainment Location Reviews
The Barcelo Margaritas is tucked away in lush tropical gardens in Playa del Ingles. With a laid back vibe for adults and plenty to keep the children entertained, there is plenty to write home about at this 4 star Gran Canaria hotel.

Firstly, there is the swimming scene. The two large freeform outdoor pools are lined with ample sunbeds and parasols, perfect for lazy days in the sunshine. The children will have a splashing time too with their own pool. On dry land, there is a kids club and playground for the little ones and sports facilities, beauty room and sauna for the grownups.

Secondly, there is the dining scene. The main restaurant is a buffet style affair, with a host of dishes from around the world on the menu and twice weekly themed dinners. Go down the a la carte route and dine al fresco on tasty Mediterranean specialities. No need to go hungry poolside, with light bites and cool drinks served in the two snack bars.

On top of all this, the evening entertainment programme takes some beating. There is live music and shows up on stage and an onsite disco to dance the night away. Discover why the Barcelo Margaritas is a popular place to stay in Playa del Ingles.

of our customers rated this property good or excellent.

Mrs Fountain, 22 November 2017

Excellent value for money.

One Negative - having to pay for the safe in the room.

Mrs Frogley, 11 June 2017

First impressions good check in swift room ready at 12.30 which we did not expect. Room 609 clean/ no sun specifically asked for sunny balcony by email as wife had just come out of hospital asked that evening if anything was available told to come back in morning/offered 4th floor over looking noisy road but declined they said our room 609 was sunny but assured them it was in shade all day. Lift not working all week to 6th floor had to use stairs or go to far side of hotel to use their lift causing long delays. No air conditioning to rooms had to leave patio door open to sleep very noisy throughout night and early morning holiday not suitable for r&r as Seniors. Food poor both in quantity and quality for first four days staff could not replenish quick enough for amount of people this eased later in the week with more staff and supervision, food improved. Staff at Ahloa 37 very courteous dined and enjoyed food and drinks surrounding garden area very well maintained, at some bars where manners and eagerness to serve by particular barmen left a lot to be desired. Recommend to pay more for the jaccuzzi and Adult only area.
Would we want to return no thank you

Miss Roberson, 21 July 2016

Mr Stacey, 02 July 2016

Very good all round the only comment was the hotel was very tired could do with refreshing

Mr Clarke, 29 May 2016

Lovely hotel and resort.

Mr Miles, 06 May 2016

The entertainment on a night was dire and the hotel was too far from any meaningful life.

The staff ranged from excellent to rude

The sheets weren't changed in 10 days and if I wanted to change my towel for around the pool, it cost 2 Euros, which is poor.

I overpaid and then paid again to upgrade to all inclusive, so this holiday was poor value for money.

Mr Rogers, 13 April 2016

poor air was good however we feel that when the hotel is full the restaurant is not big enough to serve two hotel blocks there were often queues and they sometimes stopped allowing people in at all while they cleared and reset tables . the hotel was spotless.

Mr Nugent, 11 April 2016

The accommodation was very clean in both the apartments, hotel, grounds and the pool areas.
Food was very good with a broad range of choice. Kids club was good fun with lots of activities.
The free bus to the beach and Maspalomas was regular and quick.

Mr Davison, 26 January 2016

Hotel is good not a 4* though. Food poor and service lacks
