Beautiful Location, Lovely Hotel, Wonderful Holiday!
My husband and I stayed here in May 2012. Outside of reception the building was unimpressive, but once inside we received a warm welcome. The hotel compromised of the main building, with small blocks scattered within the grounds of the property. People with walking difficulties, would be wise to stay in the main building. The hotel was also at the top of a steep hill.

The beach was reached via a lot of steps, which was not a problem if you were fit and healthy. The beach had its own bar, which was a lovely place to sit and relax. There was also a pool bar and the pool and sunbathing areas were clean and spacious. There was daytime entertainment, darts, bowls etc. The animation chaps were very friendly and enthusiastic and were also responsible for the 'typical hotel' entertainment in the evening. I really enjoyed the Greek night with its excellent traditional dancing and music.

The restaurant area was bright, clean and contemporary. There was also a balcony and one of the highlights for us was to eat there and admiring the stunning scenery and watching the swifts and swallows - pure heaven. Even more heavenly, was to watch the gorgeous sunsets during the evening meals. The staff were lovely and worked very hard(special thanks to Tasos). Only one complaint, which we did comment on to the hotel, was the rather 'old fashioned' use of coffee pots. The coffee was strong and luke warm and you had to wait for the busy staff to bring it to you. I suggested that the hotel introduce coffee machines, so we could serve ourselves. Other than that, the food was tasty, well cooked and presented. The choice was adequate and varied.

Our room in the main hotel was spacious and very clean. The fun bit, was finding your way around the corridors, everyone seemed to lose themselves, which was quite amusing. We travelled there independently and we were really pleased with A2B transfers. They used a local company, Lord Travel, who not only did an excellent job of the transfers, but they had a desk at the hotel which we used for car hire and excursions, staffed by friendly, helpful staff. Another nice bar and sunbathing area were on the roof terrace. The sandy beach was lovely with bars and restaurants.

There was a village close by, that could be reached via the beach or from the hotel. There was a supermarket, bars, restaurants, a few shops and a bus stop for buses to Corfu Town. There were also two other villages further away, which could be reached by walking if you were feeling energetic, or by taxi if not. One was called Pentati and we recommend eating at Angela's cafe, for a friendly welcome and home grown, freshly cooked food. The other village was Kato Garouna, worth the uphill walk there, such a peaceful little place with gorgeous views en route. Please do some eating/drinking out, even if you are all inclusive. The local people need your custom. Places on the Island, that we loved on our travels, were Pelakas, Paleokastritsa, and Corfu Town and also Pontikonissi near to the town.

It was our first time in Greece/Corfu. What a beautiful island and resort. We would like to return to this hotel. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Mr Rand, 21 June 2014

Hotel was good but a bit dated on the outside. We originally had a noisy room near main stairwell but the Thomson rep and the hotel staff were very helpful in moving us to a quieter room. All the staff at hotel were very good with excellent attitude towards guests.
