Amazing Family Holiday!
Myself and my husband (both 29) and our children aged 8 & 9 stayed at this hotel at the end of August. When we landed at Paphos airport we had a dedicated Holiday Village desk which we had to go to and here we were handed everything we needed to check in at the hotel, including our room key cards and some stickers for our cases.

Upon arrival at the hotel, which was around 10pm, we were encouraged to go straight to the restaurant which had been kept open for us so that we could get something to eat, Following this, we went back to reception and then we were transferred to our room by a golf buggy to find our luggage already waiting in the room. First impressions of the hotel were excellent and this continued throughout our stay.

We chose to base ourselves around the main pool in the Fishing Village every day, where there was music, dancing and quizzes, alongside the activities put on by the First Choice staff. However, there were quieter pools available in the Aegean side of the hotel and also a splash pool which was shallow all around and with small slides for younger children. From morning to night there were activities going on and the majority of these were around the pool or in the pool. This meant you didn't feel like you were putting the children into a kids club out of the way and also some of the activities were for all of the family, which were great.

In the evening the entertainment for the younger ones started at around 7pm and then, around 8pm, there was entertainment and games for older children, followed by bingo followed by entertainment geared more towards adults, but still that everyone could enjoy.

Food at the hotel was always excellent and they had a BBQ around the poolside once a week, which was nice and was in addition to the many other choices. There was always plenty of choice for meals which would suit everyone.

Our room was just a standard one bedroom apartment, which had recently been renovated and was very modern, cleaned everyday and we could not fault. The standard one bedroom apartments were located in the Aegean side of the complex and, speaking to other guests staying at the same time who had paid extra to upgrade to the Fishing Village rooms, the Aegean were actually of a higher standard than the Fishing Village. So personally I would not pay the extra if I were to go back.

Overall I could not fault this hotel. Although it was a bit more expensive than other hotels we have stayed in, which were normally 3 star, I would definitely pay the extra to stay in this hotel, as the standard was far more superior.
