Discover everything picturesque Cape Town and the stunning Cape Winelands have to offer on this exciting 8 day independent tour. With active sightseeing tours coupled with free time to explore, you’ll truly uncover the contrasting highlights that make South Africa so special, from scenery and wildlife to fine wine and culture.
Starting in Cape Town, you’ll hike Table Mountain, arguably one of the most amazing things to do in Cape Town, before gliding across the Atlantic Ocean in a kayak, searching for native marine life. You’ll then embark on a bicycle tour where you’ll search for beautiful street art and learn about the history of the Cape Malay community. You’ll then be transferred to your next destination, Stellenbosch, where alongside taking part in a small-group ATV adventure through a scenic valley in Paarl, you’ll have free time to explore the Winelands region, before heading for your flight home.

Full Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Cape Town
You’ll arrive at Cape Town International Airport at 11am and will be transferred privately to your hotel, 4* Onyx Apartment Hotel, where you’ll stay for four nights. You’ll spend your first night at leisure in Cape Town, perhaps check out one of the hotel restaurants and explore the local area or let the hotel reception book you a city tour that’ll ensure you see all of the city’s highlights.
Day 2: Cape Town
You have an incredibly exciting day ahead! Get ready to hike one of the most recognisable mountains in the world, Table Mountain. Walking up the Kasteelspoort route, you’ll be treated to serene Atlantic Ocean views, unique photo opportunities and a visit to the side of the old cable car.
Day 3: Cape Town
Enjoy another day in wonderful Cape Town and look forward to your guided Atlantic Outlook Kayak Tour. Enjoy gliding across the Atlantic Ocean in a Kayak while searching for native marine life, such as dolphins, seals and penguins, and sometimes whales too.
Day 4: Cape Town
Today you’ll take part in the Cape Town Street Art Bicycle Tour, where you’ll discover both street art and the history of the Cape Malay community on a bike. Your local guide will take you on a journey, informing you of the meaning behind each piece of art and giving you the chance to observe the positive impact street art has in the community. You’ll also be immersed in the unique history of Salt River, Woodstock and the Cape Malay Community, a truly unique experience.
Day 5: Cape Town to Stellenbosch
This morning you’ll be privately transferred from Cape Town to Stellenbosch, for a three night stay at the 4* The Spier Hotel. Today is at leisure to explore Stellenbosch – why not take a tuk-tuk through the winery estates or explore the nearby farmers market. Your hotel offers an exciting Vineyard Segway Tour, where you’ll glide through vineyards and take part in delicious wine tastings.
Day 6: Stellenbosch & Cape Winelands
Get ready for an exciting day ahead, as you take park in a one-hour nature quad bike trail. Experience the thrill of an all-terrain vehicle adventure as your expert guide takes your small group through a scenic valley in Paarl, showcasing all the highlights and stunning scenery.
Day 7: Stellenbosch
Today is at your leisure to explore the winelands. Perhaps start today with a massage at the hotel spa, which boasts a stunning deck overlooking the Eerste River. Enjoy a meal at the well-loved Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery and be sure to try the Pastéis de Nata, a Portuguese custard tart that many say are the best in the world! If you wish to venture further, a visit to the Rupert Museum is a must. Showcasing the private art collection of Anton and Huberte Rupert, the museum is set amongst vineyards and oak trees - wandering through the museum and its grounds is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
Day 8: Stellenbosch to UK
Today you’ll have at leisure before heading home. After checking out of your room, spend your final few hours soaking in the last of the sun by the hotel pool. You’ll then be privately transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your flight back to the UK at 6.45pm.
