We’ve become involved with many causes and charities as part of our Local Community Partnership activity. A local school was due to take a group of nine students to Belgium to visit the battlefields of the First World War, so we decided to donate £150 to help fund the trip. Both the teachers and students were very appreciative of our contribution.
We also held a mince pie event just before Christmas and raised £30, which we put in our fundraising pot for our chosen charity — Youth and Families Matter. Our aim is to raise at least £500 for the cause and our very own Sonya is going to run a half marathon for it on Sunday, 24 April! We’re all helping to raise as much sponsor money as possible and Hays Travel is even donating the money for ten running vests that will show the Hays Travel logo, which we are very proud of.
So, watch this space for the outcome!
