Tossa de Mar boasts a typically Mediterranean climate. April to October is the best time to visit the resort when the temperatures rangefrom 20 degrees rising to 30 degrees in the summer months. Winter in Tossa de Mar will be mild at around 13 degrees with plenty of sunny days, although rainfall does occur at this time of the year.
Things to see & do

The beaches are the centre of daytime life on a holiday in Tossa de Mar. Where better to relax and chill in the sun or try out the range of water sports on offer. Visit the Municipal Museum with its archaeological artefacts, Roman mosaics and contemporary artworks including the famous The Celestial Violinist by Mark Chagall. Explore the rocky coastline and marine life on a boat trip. For golfers, there are many courses to tackle on the Costa Brava.

As a familyorientated resort, evening entertainment in Tossa de Mar is fairly low key with much of it being hotelbased. There are a number of lively bars that remain open after midnight, but those seeking allnight partying would be better served in nearby Lloret de Mar. A quiet meal in a seaside taverna, washed down with local wines, is the perfect end to the day in this laidback resort.

Tossa de Mar has a good range of restaurants to choose from serving everything from fast food to international fare. Sample the local Spanish cuisine in one of the familyrun fish restaurants the catch of the day is a favourite with a glass of local wine. Traditional Sangria and the regions cavas and Torres wines make a good accompaniment to your meal.
