Another great holiday thanks to the help from the Hays Travel staff at Wallsend especially Nathan and Melissa

Mr Parker, 23 August 2016

Hotel was clean and tidy and staff were great but it was also a little tired around the edges and could do with a bit of an-upgrade in a few places but that didn't effect our stay there. Food was ok but could do with a little more choice. All inclusive drinks a bit poor with not much on offer unless you want to pay extra. Excellent location with bus stops just a minute away and Rhodes Town itself only 10 minutes away. Overall we got what we payed for and enjoyed our holiday.

Entertainment and food for children poor loose and uneven flooring beside the pool which was dangerous and a shower in which Karen carpenter would have struggled to manoeuvre in also we missed our transfer back to the airport due to lack of information and communication and had to pay for a taxi then informed it was our own fault

Breakfast was ok. We only had fruit/yoghurt and a slice of toast, can't really go wrong with that. Husband had fried breakfast once, it was cold and not really edible. We were only half board so didn't have lunch. Evening meal was very repetitive. Spaghetti in some form was nightly. Again most nights there was pizza, not much sign of national dishes. The food never seemed hot enough.
Towards the end of the week, you could see people coming into the restaurant, walking along, and then just walking out. We certainly had to eat out several evenings because the food was unappetising. This is the first time I have ever had to complain. I did hear quite a few complaining to the reception staff, but they did their job well, and I didn't think it was their fault. Rhodes itself was beautiful!!

This hotel has the potential to be good. The foyer I understand has been refurbished recently and looks good. The bedrooms itself was ok, but the bathroom wasn't. The electric pull switch which I assume was to take steam from shower away was hanging off the wall. The shower tray was less than 1" deep, consequently the water just overflowed into the bathroom which made it very slippery and dangerous. The shower curtain was filthy. We have photographic evidence of all this. In the bedroom, the fridge was dirty and was so covered in solid ice that the water was never even slightly cool. I think from the day we arrived 7.10. until 14.10, it was in shut down mode. We did notice towards the end of that week that the same dish was put out again! They were
obviously all just waiting for everything to close for the season. On the day we were going, thinking I might be helping I started to strip the bed. When I saw what we had been lying on I was horrified. Stains all over the mattress. I wouldn't have let a dog lie on it.

Very basic accommodation. The shower curtain in our bathroom was filthy although this was replaced after we reported it. Food was poor with little variety. Drinks selection was also limited and plastic beakers were used throughout (not just at the pool). Entertainment/activities were all provided by one person although she was enthusiastic and good fun. Most of the staff were very good and friendly and our room was cleaned to a reasonable standard. The location was ok as there was a good bus route and it was close to the sea (pebble beach) but otherwise there was little in the way of entertainment apart from sports bars.
