Great family complex, but gets busy!
I went to the Sea Club Alcudia with my parents and one-year-old son. The property is split into two parts separated by a small road, but this isn't busy at all.

Each cluster of apartments has its own pool, which we found brilliant since it never felt too crowded. There was also no need to get early for a sunbed, as there was always plenty.

The accommodation is geared towards families, I think. There are sandpits, playgrounds and grass areas between each block of apartments; perfect for the little one to run about. Some guests had actually moved sunbeds away from the pool area to these grass sections, as it was more peaceful. The grounds are well kept and staff members were always cleaning and emptying bins.

Apartments are rated three-star, which I think is fair. They're basic and could do with refurbishment, but at least essential facilities are provided, including: microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. Air-conditioning was also brilliant in the rooms. We were in a one bedroom apartment, which was fine for the three of us. Plenty of space and cleaners came round everyday.

Unfortunately, no matter what time in the morning you went for breakfast, it was always busy. We had to wander around looking for a table for quite some time. However, the choice of food was very good with the usual hot and cold buffet choices. The egg station was a favourite of ours with omelettes made to order. Very yummy!
We didn’t eat any evening meals at the hotel, although we did use the pool snack bar on a few occasions. This was very reasonably priced and had a good choice. The staff here were very friendly and made a fuss of my son, which he and I loved.

For a family hotel, the entertainment was a bit disappointing. There were no professional shows on any of the nights we were there. During the week, the entertainment was provided by the hotel team and was very basic. It consisted of dancing and miming to a backing track. Although, the kids' mini disco before this was good and all the children enjoyed it. The staff worked really hard to get all kids involved.

I visited the children's club with my son on a few occasions, this had excellent facilities with soft play and toys suitable for babies. I noticed that activities planned for the older children was very good too. Ranging from treasure hunts, Disney days, pirate days, pony rides and bouncy castles.

Overall, my only niggle with the hotel would be the nighttime entertainment, but this didn't really affect our enjoyment of the holiday. Especially since the hotel is centrally-located close to restaurants and bars. I'd still go back here for my holiday.
