Our chosen charity for 2016 is the Salisbury Hospice. It costs nearly £2.2 million each year to run the hospice, which includes £1.5m a year just to ensure vital services are maintained.
So far this year, we've raised funds for the hospice by holding a client evening celebrating our reopening of our branch after a lovely refit which we raised £500, and also supporting the hospice with a raffle prize of a seven night cruise for two, which helped raised over £6000 at the Downton Cuckoo Fair. In a few weeks we are also having a Garden Party where we hope to raise even more for this fantastic charity.
In September we will sponsor two prizes for 'Speech Day' for South Wilts Grammar School for Girls. The event takes place in the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral with more than 1000 students, teachers, parents, governors, and the Mayor of Salisbury in attendance. It is truly an inspirational evening celebrating the success of so many talented students.
