Lying along the Ionian coastline, Parga is one of the most attractive resorts on mainland Greece. Overlooked by the ruins of a Venetian castle and olive groves, Parga’s whitewashed, red-roofed houses and cobbled lanes wind down the hillside to the picturesque harbour. Holidays in Parga centre around the two white shingle beaches on either side of the harbour, which are perfect for families looking for lazy days sunbathing or paddling in the sea. Just over the headland you’ll find beautiful crescent-shaped Valtos beach, brimming with tavernas, watersports and sunbeds. Parga is also great for shopping, especially along the streets of the old town and the narrow alleyways behind the waterfront. Entertainment is quite low key in the evenings, with the tavernas and bars by the harbour the ideal places to while away a few hours. With so much to offer, it’s easy to see why holidays in Parga are the perfect choice for a family holiday.
