Nestled in the southern coastline of Majorca, you'll find a heavenly combination of Spanish culture and gorgeous sandy beaches at the stunning resort of Palma. Majorca's chic capital city has so much to offer, and you'll be able to soak up the Balearic sun while you get involved in the beach watersports or discover the region's culture. You'll certainly be spoiled for choice on your holiday to Palma!

As soon as you step off the plane, you'll be raring to hit the beach and embrace the delightful summer temperatures. They can reach 30°C during the height of the summer season, so you'll definitely want to make sure you go for a dip in the crystal-clear waters to cool down! Or, why not pop into a local bar for a refreshing tipple. If you're keen to take a Palma holiday when it's a bit cooler, you'll be pleased to know that the pleasant Mediterranean temperatures of 12-18°C between November-February make this an ideal winter sun destination.

For a family fun day away from the beach, you can enjoy the dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows at Marineland, or Palma Aquarium, which are both under 20 minutes away from the centre of the resort. If you're keen to unleash your inner explorer, why not stroll through the old Arab quarter and meander through the narrow streets and visit the museums. The Arab Baths are also worth visiting, too - the 10th century bath house is the oldest remaining Arab building in Palma.

Next, you can stop by another key attraction, the magnificent 13th century Gothic Palma Cathedral, on the resort's hillside. Make sure to bring your camera with you and capture the superb architecture. Or, visit the marina, it's the perfect spot to enjoy an ice cream or a quick bite to eat. Fashion fans will love indulging in a little retail therapy around Placa Major, where you can pick up everything from local souvenirs to traditional Albarques sandals.

In the evening, you'll be charmed by the fantastic selection of tempting restaurants in Palma. Choose from restaurants serving traditional Majorcan food as well as Chinese, Indian, Italian and Thai cuisine, so there's something for all tastes. You're sure to want to experience the Palma nightlife on your holiday, so head to the La Llonja distrct for the bars and live music. Party animals will love the late night bars and clubs on the Passeig Maritim promenade - but if it's not quite lively enough for you, there's always Magaluf, just 25 minutes away!
