This year, our local community partnership activity involved us adopting The Arnewood School. As part of this, we donated a geography award which will be presented annually to the student who has achieved and progressed the most throughout the year. We have also sponsored a language speaking competition, and donated and supported a trip to Zambia for students doing community projects in the country in 2016.
We also support Simon Says, which is a charity for bereaved children that gives them help and even enables them to enjoy a holiday. To raise money, we took part in the two-day, ‘Forest Fair with Steam’ fete held in Brockenhurst in August 2015.
Also, we helped First Opportunities, a pre-school for kids with special needs, by paying for some Christmas presents to give to the children. We even arranged a visit from Father Christmas!
As part of our cancer charity work, we all took part in two Cancer charity events: Race for Life and World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. We were delighted to raise a lot of money after taking part in these, as each member of staff here has lost someone to the illness.
