The best bay on the island. The hotel service is not as good as it thinks it is.

Mr Giddings, 14 August 2015

Fantastic

Mr Keith, 23 September 2014

The view from the balcony was amazing.
Only a few draw backs, having to pay daily for a safe that was already in the room and for internet connection that was really bad. Also on the last day our coach transfer failed to turn up.

Mr Thornby, 15 September 2014

The location of the hotel was excellent - overlooking the beach. It was very clean throughout and our room was cleaned every day and towels replaced as required - the cleaners were always pleasant and helpful. Food was very good but my partner and I found that the Managers/Supervisors in the restaurants(three males) were not at all friendly or welcoming and were abrupt and dour to the point of being rude. Their manner made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome and definitely took the shine off our holiday. Whilst having lunch the day before we left, we had ordered water to have with our meal. My partner had placed the money on the tray ready to be collected and when one of the managers came to the table to collect it, he leaned right across the table between us and over our food wguke we were eating to pick it up rather than going to the right hand side of my partner where it was positioned on the table. We were both really shocked by the way he did this and found it to be particularly rude. It is our intention to write to Hays Travel seperately to give feedback regarding our experience and also to complete the feedback form to Sol Gavilanes Hotel. The remainder of the staff at the hotel we found to be generally friendly and polite. We did wonder if this section of staff perhaps have a dislike for british tourists and this was the impression we got.

Having used this hotel several times we were met by people who knew us and felt very much at home once our room was sorted out. Excellent room and lovely views.
