Marbella, on Spain’s Costa del Sol, is a stylish resort that gives you the chance to mix with Europe’s rich and famous! Holidays in Marbella really do have something to suit every taste - the beaches have golden sand and warm, clear waters and offer safe bathing and an abundance of water sports. After dark, Marbella really comes into its own with a vibrant selection of clubs, discos, show bars and casinos remaining open to the early hours. The Costa del Sol is a golfer’s paradise and there is no shortage of courses around Marbella to enjoy a round or two. Just west of the town, you’ll find the harbour of Puerto Banus with its luxury yachts, designer shops and boutiques and of course there’s the rest of the Costa del Sol’s on your doorstep to explore. And what's more, flights to Marbella only take 2.5 hours from the UK, making it the ideal choice for a short-break or a longer sunshine holiday getaway.

The weather is Marbella is one of its main attractions, with the Costa del Sol enjoying approx 320 days of sunshine each year. The hottest weather in the Costa del Sol arrives in the summer months of May to October. The driest months of these are June, July and August, when temperatures often peak between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. The heaviest rainfall in the Costa del Sol is between November and January, but temperatures rarely dip below the late teens. Thousands of British visitors head to the region for its mild winters, which are much warmer than at home!
Things to see & do

Marbella holidays centre around days on the beach or trying out the many water sports on offer from waterskiing, windsurfing, jetskiing and pedalo rides, to parasailing, scubadiving and wakeboarding. Golfers will be spoilt for choice with the courses to tackle. Go sailing or take a boat trip to explore the coastline and maybe spot a dolphin along the way. Enjoy a scenic country trek by horseback. Enjoy some retail therapy in the shops along the Golden Mile. Venture further afield and visit the bullring in Ronda, the Picasso Museum in Malaga or go dutyfree shopping in Gibraltar.

Marbellas nightlife caters to all tastes. There are four main areas in the town to explore for nightlife: Puerto Banus, The Golden Mile, Marbella Port and Marbella Old Town. The most exclusive and classy venues are located in Puerto Banus and on the Golden Mile. The Old Town has quaint typically Spanish bars, tapas bars and restaurants and Marbella Port is the place for trendy pubs and late night bars. If a quiet meal and a drink are more your style, the old town or the promenade are the best places to go.

Food & drink

Dining out in Marbella is easy with so many restaurants to choose youll never be stuck for somewhere to dine. All tastes are covered from Spanishstyle seafood and tapas to pizza and pasta, fine dining to fast grills. You cant visit Spain and not sample its famous paella. Enjoy a traditional jug of sangria or try the local wines and beers.
