Things To Do

Holidays in the Dalaman region understandably centre around the excellent beaches, but there's far more to do besides swimming and sunbathing. Paragliding, diving, boat trips, fishing, shopping, snorkelling, hiking and water sports are just some of the many activities on offer. Trek the picturesque Lycian Way, enjoy a mud bath in the Dalyan river and look out for endangered loggerhead turtles. Don't miss the chance to experience a relaxing Turkish bath.

Food & Drink

You’ll be spoilt for choice on where to dine out in the Dalaman region. Chose from a range of English, European and Chinese dishes, along with fast food takeaways in the larger resorts. In established resorts like Marmaris, Hisaronu, Icmeler, you'll find British favourites like cooked breakfasts and roasts on the menu. Don't miss local Turkish dishes such as Kofte, Shish Kebab and Dolma followed by Baklava for dessert. Turkish coffee and raki are local specialist drinks. In The Evening

Nightlife along the Turquoise Coast varies greatly, depending on where you stay. The liveliest resorts are Marmaris and hillside Hisaronu, both of which have a huge choice of bars and late night discos. Icmeler and Olu Deniz still have plenty of bars and pubs but aren't too lively. The pace of life in Kalkan and Kas is slow and entertainment is often hotel-based.
