Mykonos

With its whitewashed houses, gorgeous beaches and bright blue sea, Mykonos is a real island paradise. In fact, the island's two busiest beaches are known as Paradise and Super Paradise. These hip spots are popular with backpackers and fashionistas alike, who flock to the day and night time beach parties. But it's not all wall-to-wall revellers on this pretty island; elsewhere, you'll find quaint coves and traditional tavernas, especially in the Elia area. For sophisticated nightlife and a great choice of places to eat out, head to the cobbled streets of Mykonos Town. With its celebrity visitors, scenic countryside, luxury villas and big name DJs, Mykonos has been called the Ibiza of Greece. Just like Ibiza, the island has plenty to offer couples and families who stay in the quieter resorts away from the main hub.

Things To Do
Mykonos beaches are home to every kind of watersport imaginable; from sailing to water skiing and everything in between. Inland, explore unspoilt villages and stunning scenery peppered with whitewashed windmills and charming churches. Don't miss shopping at the designer boutiques in Mykonos Town.
Food & Drink
Whether you're looking for gourmet dining, sushi from Nobu or fresh Greek moussaka, there's a huge choice of places to eat out on Mykonos. You'll find more modern, international restaurants and cocktail bars in Mykonos Town, while the more rural resorts are great for seafood and charming Greek tavernas.
In The Evening
Although Mykonos Town's nightlife is world-famous for being lively, other parts of the island are much lower-key. Don't miss the big beach clubs at Paradise and Super Paradise. The island is home to a thriving gay scene, with plenty of choice of bars and and clubs in Mykonos Town. With big name promoters and DJs visiting the island in the summer months, it's a popular choice with backpackers and those in search of a sophisticated nightlife. Elsewhere on the island, life is a little sleepier, with less cocktail bars and more sleepy tavernas.
