Africa

Africa is the world's second-largest continent, after Asia, and its unique cultures, scenery, wildlife and people add together to make holidays in Africa a truly unforgettable experience. From the vast plains of the Masai Mara and the Serengeti to cosmopolitan and vibrant Cape Town, from the tropical Kenya coast washed by the magical, sparkling Indian Ocean to the incredible Namibia Desert flanked by the Atlantic. Africa is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Gambia is a popular choice for a winter holiday with over 30 miles of golden sandy beaches to relax on, while Egypt mixes the stunning culture of Cairo and the Pyramids with Red Sea holiday hotspots. In North Africa, holidays in Tunisia and Morocco allow you to shop till you drop in the local bazaars and markets; recharge your batteries on one of the many golden sandy beaches or even go skiing in the Atlas Mountains. With 53 countries, including Madagascar and various island groups, to explore on the African continent, it is little wonder that visitors return time and time again to experience the magic that only a holiday in Africa can bring.
