Sun City, South Africa’s playground with a theme park, casinos and manmade beaches, is 1.5 hrs drive from Jo’Burg. The Garden Route, which stretches between the towns of Port Elizabeth and Mossel Bay, takes a few days to drive along but is the best way to absorb the country’s coastline and culture. The Durban and KwaZula Natal areas are the Zulu homelands and boast over 370 miles of coastline with some of the best surfing beaches in South Africa.
