Marrakech

The exotic Moroccan city of Marrakech makes is a city break destination like no other. The ancient walled Medina is home to the world-famous Jemaa el Fna, a central square that bustles with food stalls, snake charmers and live musicians. In the narrow streets, you'll find souks selling pretty lanterns, jewellery and bright leather goods. Check in to a riad; these traditional houses tucked in the medina walls are designed to be peaceful havens and usually boast cool courtyards and rooftop terraces. Outside of the city walls, you'll find the newer part of town, with modern accommodation and nightlife venues including a club from famous brand Pacha. The Atlas mountains and other areas of natural beauty are located an hour's drive from the city and offer unforgettable hiking, trekking and photo opportunities. With its heady mix of ancient and modern, no wonder Marrakech is fast becoming one of the most wanted spots on the city break map.
