Marbella

Marbella, on Spain’s Costa del Sol, is a stylish resort that gives you the chance to mix with Europe’s rich and famous! Holidays in Marbella really do have something to suit every taste - the beaches have golden sand and warm, clear waters and offer safe bathing and an abundance of water sports. The promenade, shaded by its mature palms, is lined with fine restaurants and bars. The Golden Mile is full of elegant boutiques where you will find the latest fashions. La Plaza de Los Naranjos, or Orange Square, holds the sixteenth century Town Hall as well as shops and art galleries. Seek out some shade in one of resort’s many parks including the Constitution Park, which transforms into a concert venue during the summer months. After dark, Marbella really comes into its own with a vibrant selection of clubs, discos, show bars and casinos remaining open to the early hours. The Costa del Sol is a golfer’s paradise and there is no shortage of courses around Marbella to enjoy a round or two. Just west of the town, you’ll find the harbour of Puerto Banus with its luxury yachts, designer shops and boutiques and of course there’s the rest of the Costa del Sol’s on your doorstep to explore. And what's more, flights to Marbella only take 2.5 hours from the UK, making it the ideal choice for a short-break or a longer sunshine holiday getaway.

Things To Do
Marbella holidays centre around days on the beach or trying out the many water sports on offer from water-skiing, wind-surfing, jet-skiing and pedalo rides, to parasailing, scuba-diving and wake-boarding. Golfers will be spoilt for choice with the courses to tackle. Go sailing or take a boat trip to explore the coastline and maybe spot a dolphin along the way. Enjoy a scenic country trek by horseback. Enjoy some retail therapy in the shops along the Golden Mile. Venture further afield and visit the bullring in Ronda, the Picasso Museum in Malaga or go duty-free shopping in Gibraltar.
Food & Drink
Dining out in Marbella is easy - with so many restaurants to choose you’ll never be stuck for somewhere to dine. All tastes are covered from Spanish-style seafood and tapas to pizza and pasta, fine dining to fast grills. You can’t visit Spain and not sample its famous paella. Enjoy a traditional jug of sangria or try the local wines and beers.
In The Evening
Marbella’s nightlife caters to all tastes. There are four main areas in the town to explore for nightlife: Puerto Banus, The Golden Mile, Marbella Port and Marbella Old Town. The most exclusive and classy venues are located in Puerto Banus and on the Golden Mile. The Old Town has quaint typically Spanish bars, tapas bars and restaurants and Marbella Port is the place for trendy pubs and late night bars. If a quiet meal and a drink are more your style, the old town or the promenade are the best places to go.
