Kefalos

Kefalos, situated to the south west of the Greek island of Kos, is essentially two resorts in one – the old town of Kefalos, with its whitewashed houses, Byzantine church and famous hilltop windmill, and the beach-front resort of Kamari. The area boasts stunning scenery and the sea is crystal clear and warm alongside the local sand and shingle Kamari beach - perfect for lazy days in the sun or to enjoy the many watersports on offer. Some of the best beaches in Kos are nearby including Paradise Beach, Hawaii Beach and Magic Beach. Regular buses run to cosmopolitan Kos Town with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Kefalos has plenty of good restaurants and a couple of small nightclubs, but is more suited to those holidaymakers seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday in the hot sunshine

Things To Do
Kefalos and its surrounding area has some of the best beaches on the island. Enjoy water-based activities such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, waterskiing, wakeboarding, parascending, catamaran sailing and speedboat hire. There are also fishing trips available. Get out of the resort and explore the surrounding areas by walking, hiking or cycling. Historical sites can be found scattered around the whole island with many in the capital of Kos Town, which is approximately 90 minutes away from Kefalos.
Food & Drink
Kefalos has a good range of restaurants and tavernas to choose from serving traditional Greek and international fare. The Old Town has many places to enjoy locally-caught fish and seafood. Local wines and ouzo make a good accompaniment to your meal.
In The Evening
Kefalos is not as lively or as well known for its nightlife as other Greek resorts, but does have a good selection of bars and clubs to suit all tastes, most of which are children friendly. Join in a Greek Night in the Old Town’s tavernas with dancing, singing and delicious local specialities on the menu.
