Things To Do
Daytime in Cabarete is all about sun-worshipping and enjoying the many watersports on offer on the beach. But why not get out and explore the countryside on horseback or mountain bike. The El Choco National Park, with its freshwater springs, tropical landscapes and birdlife and the natural 27 Waterfalls of Rio Damajagua are a sights not to be missed. Go snorkelling or scuba-diving in the turquoise waters of Sousa Bay.
Food & Drink
Local food in the Dominican Republic is a tasty mix of Caribbean, African and Spanish flavours. Everything from casual and cheap, to gourmet-prepared fresh seafood is offered by Cabarete’s restaurants. Locally grown papaya, mango and passion fruit make for a refreshing dessert. Don't miss a taste of the island’s dark rum and Presidente beer.
In The Evening
Cabarete has a 'party town' reputation and it’d be a shame not to join in! Once dinner’s out of the way, most restaurants turn into bars playing a variety of music – a chance for everyone get together to dance, drink and have fun. Try out the local dance styles of Merengue, Bachata and Salsa too. For a great night out head to the The Cabaret Beach House with its BBQ's, campfire parties on the beach, and great food, drinks and music.
