To the south east of the island of Zante is the attractive resort of Argassi. Mount Skopos forms a backdrop and Argassi’s long sand and shingle beach, with its many watersports, stretches along the whole of the resort. The main centre of town is compact giving it a lively atmosphere with all amenities, supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, clubs close at hand. Outside the town centre it's much quieter. Travel in the opposite direction and you will find the best beaches on the island like Banana, Gerakas and Dafni.
