Argassi

To the south east of the island of Zante is the attractive resort of Argassi. Mount Skopos forms a backdrop and Argassi’s long sand and shingle beach, with its many watersports, stretches along the whole of the resort. The main centre of town is compact giving it a lively atmosphere with all amenities, supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, clubs close at hand. Outside the town centre it's much quieter. There’s a good selection of nightlife in Argassi, with Zante Town within walking distance if you fancy a change of scene. Travel in the opposite direction and you will find the best beaches on the island like Banana, Gerakas and Dafni. The range of things to see and do in Argassi make the resort a good choice for people of all ages and is especially good for parents with teenage kids.

Things To Do
With over 60 beaches to choose from on Zante, you’re sure to find one to suit your needs. Argassi has a wide range of water sports readily available on the beach, including jet skis and banana boat rides and scuba diving is a popular pastime. Take a boat trip to the Blue Caves and Smugglers Cove or across to Kefalonia. For fishing enthusiasts there are plenty of grey mullet to be caught in this area as well as black bream. There’s a mini golf course for the children. Local stables offer horse riding and trekking, and mountain bikes are available for rent.
Food & Drink
The restaurants in Argassi offer a wide range of food, including British, Greek, Italian and Indian fare. Greek cuisine uses locally grown produce to create delicious dishes like moussaka and fresh feta salads. Traditional tavernas offer the perfect venue for al fresco dinners after dark. The local tipple is Ouzo, but many bars in hotels and resorts offer cocktails and other drinks from all over the globe
In The Evening
The nightlife is lively in Argassi but not rowdy! It has bars, taverns and nightclubs mainly situated down two streets. For those after a more lively night out then Laganas is just a short journey away, which has more of a upbeat nightlife.
