Pefkohori

Holidays in Pefkohori have been a firm favourite with British sunseekers for many years. Located on the south-east tip of the Kassandra peninsula in the Halkidiki area of Greece, this pretty resort is surrounded by pine forests and has a long narrow sandy beach, which slopes into clear blue Aegean waters. The resort's palm tree and flower-lined promenade is home to many shops, restaurants and bars and is the perfect place to spend your evenings. The narrow winding streets in the old town are lined with lemon trees and roses and an array of pavement cafes, shops, restaurants and boutiques to enjoy. Ceramics, linen, leather and jewellery are good buys in the area. The beautiful countryside that surrounds this resort is popular with hikers. Holidays in Pefkohori are all about unwinding and relaxing with family or friends in the hot Greek sunshine. What's more, you can fly to Greece in less than four hours from most UK airports, so a Pefkohori holiday is never too far away!

Things To Do
Holidays in Pefkohori are all about relaxation with days spent on the long sandy beach top of the list. For the more active beach and water-based activities on offer include snorkelling and diving. The countryside around the resort is just begging to be explored on foot or on horseback. If you fancy a bit of retail therapy, then head to Thessaloniki to explore top designer boutiques and classic antique stores or the streets of Pefkori’s Old Town have a treasure trove of shops.
Food & Drink
There are eateries to suit every palate in Pefkohori with a good choice of restaurants, steakhouses, tavernas and fast food outlets available. Traditional fish restaurants are popular with freshly caught fish and seafood on the menu. But you can’t go to Greece and not sample the traditional food on the menu in the tavernas including mezze and the Greek favourites of mousakka or calamari with baklava for dessert. Aniseed-flavoured Ouzo is the preferred aperitif and the robustly flavoured Retsina wine is the popular accompaniment to any meal.
In The Evening
Pefkohori is a low-key, laid back resort and its nightlife reflects this. There are a few discos and bars to enjoy but many visitors choose to spend their evenings in the local tavernas enjoying a meal and a drink. Take a trip along the coast to Hanioti or Kalithea for a moderately livelier scene.
