Oludeniz is a resort densely covered with small contemporary hotels, bars and restaurants, all of which are set behind a broad arc of white sandy beach and bounded by pine covered mountains. A well maintained promenade, with neatly lawned gardens, runs all along the length of the bay and is lined by shops, bars and restaurants. Most of the hotels/apartments are situated further back. The region is famous for its wildlife including the loggerhead turtle, which now finds its mating habits disturbed by bright lights and disco music in the resort. Hence there have been some sensible strict controls that have come into force here. The resort can be easily be reached on foot with many paved roads and ‘partly pedestrian’ streets.
