Holidays in the Balearics have been a firm favourite with British holidaymakers for many years. These Spanish islands have plenty to offer with great beaches, warm summers and lots to see and do. Balearic Island holidays each have their own character, with plenty of options to choose from no matter what your personal tastes. Whether you're looking for a family holiday in Menorca, a city break in Palma, a party holiday in Ibiza, there's a place to suit everyone on a holiday in the Balearic Islands. Beautiful landscapes, pretty coves and bustling holiday resorts – a holiday in the Balearics has got it all! What's more, flights to Menorca, Majorca and Ibiza take less than two and half hours from most UK departure airports, so a Balearics holiday is never too far away.
Holidays in the Balearic Islands centre around the beach, but there's plenty to do besides swimming and sunbathing. Boat trips, water sports, hiking, horse riding, sightseeing, golf, shopping and water parks are all available, depending on where you stay.
Food & Drink
The Balearic Islands offer an array of places to eat and drink, from quaint restaurants serving tapas and fish to international outlets and fast food joints. Larger seaside resorts tend to have a higher concentration of restaurants. All inclusive holidays in the Balearics are increasingly popular.
In The Evening
Nightlife in the Balearics varies greatly, depending on where you choose to stay. Ibiza is synonymous with clubbing, thanks to the world-famous venues in and around San Antonio. Elsewhere on the island, the pace of life is slower and more suited to couples and families. On Majorca, Magaluf and Palma Nova are party hotspots, with big name clubs and plenty of bars to choose from. On Formentera, nightlife is very quiet and tends to be hotel-based. Menorca has a good choice of bars and discos in its larger resorts, but these tend to be more family-orientated and don't attract crowds of revellers. Throughout the Balearic Islands, you'll find a good mixture of resorts with lower key nightlife suitable for families and couples.
